Illustrative Competition Results


Last night was the club Illustrative Competition and as usual it contained a high standard of enties. The competition was judged with a critical eye and some Lancashire wit by John Smith, CPAGB, APAGB. There was a very diverse range of photographs on the night for John to judge with the awards evenly spread amongst the competitors.

In the Monchrome Print section Brian Magor came first winning the Illustrative Shield with "Old Pharmacy"






The Knowsley Hen by George Evans

George Evans won first prize and the Illustrative Cup in the Color Print section with this striking image of a Hen from Knowsley proudly perched on a gate.

Well done to Brian Magor who came first again in this competition winning the Projected Images section with "Skier in the Air"










The competition prints were on display at the mid meeting tea break with members deep in thought about the narrow line between success and failure.

After a short break it was back down to business with the judging of the projected images section followed by the presenting of the awards.
