Open /Creative Competition Results

Friday 16th March saw the judging of the Open / Creative competition judged by Andrew Brochwicz-Lewinski, ARPS and Andrew gave us a sometimes brutal but often funny critique of our images which made the evening very entertaining.

On what was the last monthly club competition of the current season, the winning honours in the Advanced, Novice / Intermediate, Digital and Creative sections were shared amongst the members with George Evans coming first in both the Advanced Colour Print and Advanced Mono print competition with "Borage and Bee" and his infrared image "A walk in the Park"

The Novice / Intermediate prints competition were keenly contested with Cynthia Sadler winning the Colour Print section with "Derwentwater" and Mike Griffiths the Mono print with an untitled portrait and well done to all who gained awards.

This was an Open competition with a Creative sub competition and Noel George was judged to have the best creative image from the combined print and digital sections with his print entitled, "Tuesday On The Shore Of The Mediterranean"

The next competition in the Hoylake Photographic Society program is the end of season annual print and digital competitions and Diane and Brain Magor are now busy taking club entries from members. Entry forms for the competition must be handed to Brain Magor on Friday 23rd March at the latest.

If you're interested in club photography and want to share your interest with like minded people, take part in club competitions or just socialise then why not attend our next club night on Friday 23rd March at Newton Village Hall, Grange Cross Lane, West Kirby. The guest speaker on the night will be Lynn Hilditch, PhD, ARPS who will be giving a presentation on "Magnum Photographers" Your first visit to the club is free and subsequent visits are £2 on the door.
