London Salon of Photography

Is photography art? On Friday 5th April, Hoylake Photographic Society will be viewing the 2012 London Salon of Photography which will confirm that the photography in this competition is as close as it gets.

The salon is celebrating its 102nd Exhibition in 2013 and is always controversial with its choice of photographic submissions and awards. The salons mission statement, "The aim of the London Salon is to exhibit only that class of photographic work in which there is distinct evidence of artistic feeling and execution" guarantees that we'll see photographs that are both artistic and creative. You will see the very best of photographic artistry from the very best photographers, some of whom have visited the club in the past and as art is subjective, you'll either love or hate the prizewinning photographs.

If you're interested in seeing the London Salon then why not come along to Newton Village Hall, Grange Cross Lane, West Kirby. The doors open at 7.30 pm for a 7.45 pm start and a 10 pm finish. Visitors are welcome paying £2 on the door.
