People / Portrait Competition Results

One of the most rewarding aspects of photography is photographing people and Friday 13th January 2017 saw the judging of our "People / Portrait" competition judged by our guest Robert Millin DPAGB, EFIAP/s, EPSA, BPE5*.

The monthly competition was split into "Print" and "Digital Projected Images" sections with the "Print" section split into "Colour" and "Mono" sub sections. Members competed in all sections on an equal basis regardless of their skill and experience.

Print

In the "Colour" print sub section, Brian Magor gained 1st place with a composite image "Shopkeeper" using his wife Diana as his model, whilst Paul Anderson came both 2nd and 3rd with two images from his expansive trip to the Far East, "Our Food Stall" and "Brothers in Alms". Well done to both.

In the "Mono" print sub section, Barry Quatermass gained 1st place with a gritty portrait of "Smoking Joe". Anthony Clarke came 2nd with "Concentrating On The Road Ahead" while Noel George came 3rd with "Waiting For The Parade". Congratulations.
