The Hoylake Photographic Society 2016/17 season finishes next weekend 21st /22nd April with the Digital Projected Images and Print finale. During the weekend the six monthly competition titles will be judged again by new judges and, as art is subjective, you can be assured of a different set of results from before.
On Friday 21st April our guest judge Colin Douglas ARPS, AFIAP, DPAGB, BPE4* will be judging the six digital projected images subjects which are, Open / Altered Reality, Landscape, Man-made, People / Portrait, Nature and Illustrative.
On Saturday 22nd April our guest judge Terry Donnelly PAGB, ARPS, FBPE, EFIAP will be judging the prints in those same subjects on the fly without previously seeing the members entries. With all of the prints in each competition subject on display the prints will be discarded one by one until Terry gets down to his award winners. It's brutal and exciting at the same time.
Both competitions take place at Newton Village Hall and members should attend on Friday evening at the normal time of 7.30pm for a 7.45pm start and a 10pm finish. On Saturday morning members should attend the hall at 9am and the judging may go on until midday. Help would be appreciated as it takes a lot of organising on the day.
Good luck to everyone who has images in both competitions.
