The Wirral Festival of Firsts 2017 is an annual arts festival based in Hoylake, West Kirby and the surrounding areas and one of its events is their photo competition the "Stirling Dutton Photography Prize". With a theme of "As seen by a walker" and a first prize of £100 and two runner up prizes of £25 the competition is open to non-professional photographers.
Hoylake Photographic Society are co-ordinating and judging the competition with local professional photographer Marianthus Lainas. Unfortunately, HPS members aren't allowed to enter the competition but as the entry is free, members should encourage family and friends to enter into the spirit of the festival and make it a success.
