Hoylake Photographic Society has been in recess during the Summer months but our new season of talks, events and monthly competitions starts up again on 7th September 2018 with our Presidents Night. We have yet to learn what our President Anthony Clarke has planned for the first Friday evening of the season but the remaining program through to the end of May 2019 can be found on the Hoylake Photographic Society website.
The program includes presentations of inspiring photographic folios from across the UK, talks by local experts in their sphere of photography, club members sharing their own photography on members nights and six monthly competitions. Also on the website is the Wednesday Night Group program. The WNG meet every other Wednesday for a more informal get together and instruction in the back room of Newton Village Hall.
The clubs main meetings are on Friday evenings at Newton Village Hall, Grange Cross Lane, West Kirby with the doors opening at 7.30pm for a 7.45pm start and a 10pm finish. You don't have to be a member to attend on a Friday as you can pay only £2 on the door with no compulsion to join. Wednesday nights are for members only.
If you're interested in photography whether you own a camera or not then give us a try and you'll be made very welcome. In the meantime our Annual Exhibition of members work is on display at West Kirby Library in the Concourse until 1st September during library opening hours.
