On Friday 5th October we had the judging of the Open / Altered Reality competition by our guest Linda Bell, LRPS CPAGB AWPF BPE3* Congratulations to Margaret Sixsmith who swept the board in the competition. A full report on the competition will be posted at a later date once I've received the results and and awarded digital images.
This Friday 12th October is a print presentation by Paula and Guy Davies who are sponsored by Permajet. They'll be running through the complexities of home printing and will also be selling Permajet printing paper with a 10% discount so bring some money along if you do your own printing.
The following Friday 19th October is a Practical Portrait Night with Graham Curry. Portraiture is an art form in its own right and lighting is critical. There's a lot to gain from this session so don't miss it. I'm not sure whether members need to bring along a camera and flashgun so please enquire from the club.
The evening is also the hand-in for the Man Made competition. The entry form can be downloaded from the club website.
Both meetings are at Newton Village Hall, Grange Cross Lane, West Kirby with the doors opening at 7.30pm for a 7,45pm start and a 10pm finish. Non members are welcome paying £2 on the door.
